Yes! The prestigious Gert-Johan Coetzee Bursary covers full tuition and a sewing machine for one 3-
year Fashion Design student annually. Be sure to keep an eye on Gert Johan’s social media channels
for announcements about bursary application openings.
Additionally, NWSD offers a fee concession initiative for individuals who demonstrate commitment
and hard work but are unable to afford the full fees. To apply for a fee concession, contact
admissions@nwsd.co.za.

Our fashion course is highly practical and hands-on, designed to immerse students in real-world skills
and industry experience - this is why it is offered exclusively as in-person contact classes. All full-
time students relocate to Klerksdorp for the duration of their 3-year studies. Please note, our full-
time courses are in-person only, but selected short courses and patternmaking options are available
online.
